Forrest Church Eulogy. 
This eulogy was prepared by Larry Stauber largely from the writings of Dr. Church.  They were read by church members and the Rev. Carole Yorke on Sunday, November 8. Forrest Church, senior minister of
All Souls Church, Unitarian Universalist in New York,
died on September 24, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.


The following two complementary sermons were acclaimed when they were delivered during the summer of 2009 (in the case of the 1st one, redelivered) .  The 1st was a repeat of a sermon delivered in our church in 1984.  The 2nd was delivered by Paul Coleman, a church member who was previously a Presbyterian minister.

What Do We Mean by Believing in God?
This sermon was originally preached by the Rev. Dr. Ralph Helverson when he was our minister.  The date was November 25, 1984.

Learning to Live without God
Paul Coleman has been a member of our congregation since 2007.  He currently serves as Pastoral Associate for the congregation.


Where Did Christianity Come from?
The Rev. Dr. Waldemar Argow.  Wally Argow preached this sermon sometime in the late 1980s in our church.  It generated considerable interest when it was re-presented by Bob Crowe as part of 1st UU's Summer Heritage Series on June 14, 2009.
