The UU Spiritual Circle
**************************************************
Dates: Second & fourth Wednesdays
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Place: Sanctuary
Facilitators: Chari Campbell, Marika Stone, and Paul Coleman
Spiritual practice can benefit from the support and encouragement a group can provide. A supportive community can accelerate spiritual growth. Our Spiritual Circle is primarily an experiential group. Group interaction helps the learner avoid pitfalls such as ignoring the shadow, breaking commitments, getting caught in an inflated sense of progress, and robotically going through the motions.
Our menu is varied, but could and usually does include any of these practices: meditation, drumming, chanting, Tao breathing, Tarot cards, Laughter Yoga, and shared responses to an assigned reading or book. We are welcoming of other ideas from group members. This is a circle of learners and teachers, who covenant to seek spiritual/personal growth, to encourage each other's growth, to share explorations, and to make some together. We recognize that it is unlikely that any one person could adequately guide all aspects of personal, spiritual growth or offers paths compatible with differing learning styles. We draw on the resources and practices of the learner/teachers in the group.
Time and Place: We currently meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7pm, in the Sanctuary. This schedule may vary. For more information, contact: Chari Campbell, Paul Coleman, or Marika Stone, or just join us on a Wednesday evening.
